Review: Rail-Flow at transport logistic 2025 in Munich

From June 2 to 5, 2025, Rail-Flow was present at the transport logistic trade fair in Munich – the world’s leading industry platform for logistics, mobility, IT, and supply chain management. This year’s event set new records: with over 2,700 exhibitors from more than 70 countries and over 77,000 visitors from more than 130 countries, it once again demonstrated its global significance.

For Rail-Flow, the fair offered a fantastic opportunity to present our solutions for the digitalization of rail logistics, engage in intensive discussions with customers, partners, and stakeholders – and share ideas that help drive the future of European rail freight.

Expert talks: spotlight on customer success stories

One of the highlights of our presence was a series of practical presentations, where Rail-Flow and its partners showcased real-world applications of our digital solutions:

European Rail Rent relies on Purchase & Tender Management (PTM)

Tiberiu Buzas, Managing Director of European Rail Rent GmbH (ERR), demonstrated how ERR uses Rail-Flow’s Purchase & Tender Management (PTM) to boost transparency and efficiency in its tendering processes. PTM enables the structured creation of transport requests, fast offer comparisons, and data-based decisions. Additionally, the system opens access to a wide network of transport providers.

Locomotive (Sub)leasing made easy – with the Resource Sharing Broker (RSB)

Christopher Smith, Product Manager at Rail-Flow, introduced the Resource Sharing Broker (RSB) – a digital platform for leasing and subleasing locomotives on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. The RSB digitizes the entire process: from inquiry and contract generation to handover and billing. For lessors, it increases the utilization of idle assets. For lessees, it brings greater transparency, flexibility, and reduced manual effort.
